I have been practicing law since 1983. A fourth generation lawyer, my ancestors could not conceive of how the practice of law would change in the course of those four generations. In spite of changing practices and technologies, the critical values of honesty, competency, respect and service to the community have been handed down to me and are reflected in my representation of clients.
I have followed traditional career paths and
forged my own way in the practice of law. I practiced in law firms for most of my career, including 11 years in Concordís leading business, construction and solid waste law firm. In 2010 I opened my own practice in Concord, where I continue to enjoy the many benefits of living and practicing in central Contra Costa County. I am honored to have served as the Chair of the Business Law Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association for the years 2014, 2015, and I am honored and humbled to say that I have been elected by my colleagues to serve in that position in 2016 as well.
I've spent the first half of my career practicing largely in the areas of business and real estate litigation. Those years prepared me well for my current practice of business and corporate transactions, where drafting and strategic advice are always given with an eye toward preventative practices and avoiding disputes that can lead to the costly world of litigation.
Having led or otherwise participated in five international charitable medical/ construction trips, and having the pleasure of conducting a multi-cultural choir, I welcome the opportunity to serve and interact with multi-cultural groups and clients.
My competitive advantage is making use of my broad legal experience without the tremendous billing pressures and expensive overhead found in so many law firms.
